Feeders came out and put a couple early tries in to lead the St. Thomas Blue Ox. The younger but smaller Ox would prove they would not let the game go easily. They answered back and the match stayed close throughout. Final ended up being 30 - 24. Lots of solid pack rugby from the Feeders on this rainy spring day. Feeders also squared off against a mixed SCSU side. I am not sure of the final score here. Feeders won by a try or two I believe. Someone please send me a better match report than the two above. The Feeders had another great year at All Saints winning all three of their matches to put them into first place. I will give the best recount I can but hope to have a more through match report from Adonis soon.
Feeders 15 - Souix Falls 12 This turned out to be a good defensive battle. The match was played on a field that seemed to be short from both directions which gave both teams a defensive advantage. The match was tied 12-12 going into last five minutes of the game. The Feeders had two penalties almost back to back. The first they elected to go quick. The second they slowed things down and Nate Gershmehl put one thru from about 30 meters out to put us ahead. Souix Falls got the ball back and pounded it back into our end but this time it was the Feeders who were penalized. Souix Falls decided to kick for goal in full time and missed by a fraction of the post. It was a real nail biter that almost went into overtime. Feeders were now 1-0.
